I haven’t read Little Women since I was a girl, but now I want to reread it! I’m sure my library will have a copy so I’ll check it out. Seems like a perfect autumnal read!
The books I reread over and over again are by Agatha Christie. She is my all time favorite mystery writer, her books are just so good.
Thanks for mentioning my post Emily! Happy Sunday to you 🤗🥰
Oh my gosh, this is the perfect time of year for Little Women - or even closer to Christmas. Let me know what you think of it. There is so much to love.
I’ve never read an Agatha Christie (!) … maybe I should add some to my TBR because I do LOVE a murder mystery.
Thank YOU so much for all your wonderful support!!
I’m a huge re-reader! Absolutely love to revisit books, especially ones that specifically remind me of a season. Each fall I reread the Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern, each winter Flight by Lynn Steger Strong, and so on. I also love rereading Emily St. John Mandel’s book, she is my favorite author and every time I reread I notice a character or plot line that is an echo between her various works. So much to discover!
I’m definitely on the same wavelength with you for my October reading, immersing myself in all the spooky reads! Just finished a Shirley Jackson book and the Shining is on my list as well.
Oh this are all wonderful recommendations, thank you for sharing them with us. I love re reading, and I can see myself making even more time for it next year.
I frequently re-read books...which makes my TBR pile grow even taller as the new ones sit patiently waiting for me to get them. I have a large library that I return to over and over again, but if I was forced to choose one, I'd have to say the In Death series by JD Robb. That series is my 'comfort food' of books, and the one I return to again and again.
The TBR list is forever growing, it never ever shortens !!! Thank you so much for sharing JD Robb with us, I have periodically added these books to my TBR but never read them! Thank you for the push!
I'm currently re-reading The Lord of the Rings series - it's such a hobbity, autumn vibe and I love how every time I re-read them new bits jump out at me.
Oh wonderful!!! I am going to read them for the first time! Starting with - of course The Hobbit this Autumn/Winter! Do you have a favourite book in the series?
Hi Emily, I too love Rebecca but it’s Frenchman’s Creek that has remained my favourite and which I’ve read so many times over the years. Though hearing it read aloud on BBC Sounds helped me discover aspects of it I hadn’t thought of before. Also love Mary Wesley books - what a talent! Good to read of your recommendations too 😊
Oh I have never read Frenchman’s Creek … but I think I will after how much I enjoyed Rebecca! Thank you for suggesting it. Thank you for your recommendations. Happy reading indeed!
I saw The Ocean at the End of the Lane as a stage play and loved it! If you like it, try Treacle Walker by Alan Garner, which Robert Powell reads superbly in Audible…
I love The Virgin Suicides, I recently bought the same copy and aim to re-read soon. It was one of those books I first read as a teenager and instantly fell in love with it. Also yay for Neil Gaiman. I have read all of those, The Ocean at the End of the Lane and Neverwhere are my two favourites! I hope you enjoy them.
I am so looking forward to getting into Neil Gaiman, I think I am going to start with The Graveyard Book. I really enjoyed The Virgin Suicides, I can definitely see myself re reading it in the future,
Love how you opened with a Garrison Keillor quote - I've been promising myself I'd re-read Radio Romance again soon, so this seems to be the perfect time.
My first grown up book was Pastures of heaven by John Steinbeck. It is a translated copy of 1942 and it belonged to my grandfather which I had no chance to know because he passed away before I was born. This would be definitely a reread of my list!
I smiled when I read in your list Sophie's world, I read it I high school and I loved it! I also read the orange girl, I loved that too.
I would like to read Rebecca, it's perfect for the autumn season. Have you read Dracula by Bram Stoker? I loved it! But I read it during the day because it's vibes were too real and atmospheric to be read at night 🤣
Currently I'm reading Fairly Tale by Stephen King.
Oh wonderful 😊 I really enjoyed it ... You'll have to let me know what you think when you reach the end ! It totally gave me the Stephen King bug ... Started The Shining tonight ... ! He is such an impressive writer ... I'm thinking of doing a Stephen King reading challenge next year because I suddenly feel all this urgency to read as many of his stories as I can !!!!

I actually only keep the books I reread a lot or would read again in my collection! The rest rotates constantly🍁
I love this idea Nika! You must have a beautiful collection.
It's pretty small because it rotates so often, but I love the books I have!^^
Love how you opened with a Garrison Keillor quote - I've been promising myself I'd re-read Radio Romance again soon, so this seems to be the perfect time.
It has got to be a sign!!!!
