A beautiful post.

Love this quote “Fill your paper with the breathings of your heart.” William Wordsworth.

Going to explore why I love that quote.

Some great journal prompts, thankyou, and love the theme of a writers life, going to be inspiring for us all I’m sure 😊

I’ve just started using prompts and I love what I’m getting out of them! Also 36 and often wish I didn’t throw my childhood and teenage journals away, they would be so amazing to read now.

Prompts have really opened up my journaling like nothing else recently. I am so glad it is doing the same for you. It would be nice to read them back, although I fear I would cringe so much!!!

Yes the cringe factor is what led me to throw them out when I was in my 20s, but now I think I it would be quite endearing to see how 16 year old me felt after a heartbreak

It really would ! We'll have to let our imaginations run wild with our teenage woes and memories!

((feeling called out for keeping tons of journals with padlocks and keys in my teenage years))

And sometimes how the factories made it, they perfumed the sheets. I know it's not in the best interest of health to have perfumed journals, but it was one step further in sensory experience. And since I grew older, if I caught a whiff of a similar scent, it called forth this nostalgic feeling of the past.

These are great prompts. Sometimes a prompt is exactly what is needed to get started.

Thank you so much! I've not used prompts for all that long really but I really love them ... Sometimes I will go through my notebook and pre- write a quote or a prompt I like at the top of the page and so I have places to begin when I need !
