Your posts are thoughtful reminders that we are not victims condemned to hate and be consumed by jealousy and bigotry. You even offer lessons! Journaling is a nice way to not only focus your mind, but it can provide a Time Capsule for you in your old age, a reminder of what we once were. Personally, with the handwriting of a spastic kindergartner, I've never been fond of diaries or journals. But if I didn't find the time to inhale deeply, hold the breath three seconds, and then exhale slowly several times a day, I fear I might explode.

Thank you so much Charles. I like empowering people to remember how strong they are and reminding how much influence you have on your own life, especially nowadays life seems to come at a person - hard and relentless! Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts on this, I appreciate it so much.

I rarely write anything by hand. I use a gratitude journal app.

That is good advice, Cygnus. I've been burdened with a tremor that made handwriting a torture (I'm a lefty, too) and whenever possible I have used a typewriter or computer most of my life to write things that people could decipher.

A "gratitude journal" - what a wonderful idea. I hope yours fills to overflowing.

Those who still watch television news must frequently feel overwhelmed. After all, what does television news provide us with besides horror, murder, rapes, wars, and rumors of wars? But, the interesting thing I've found is that after going without cable television for two years, I am happier and the world hasn't changed much. It seems to get along without my knowing all about it.

And the little I know has turned me into a cranky old curmudgeon that no longer believes the USSA is a force for good in the world.

But that wasn't a generous thing to say. Let me finish by saying that

we are all blessed by the fact that the 4th Reich has risen up to create a Global Government, prophesy is being fulfilled, and it is still possible to find food and fuel in the USSA.

Thank you for another thought provoking post. It made me realize that imbalance is part of my problem. I haven't really thought about it in that way before. After some introspection, I think that I am trying to balance making the most of my remaining time with knowing that time is limited. It is limited for us all and the outcome is certain for everyone. But it is just more obvious to some, rather than to others, depending on circumstances. I have been on a journey the last six years but especially the last few months. Your Slow Sunday read has become a milestone in that journey. Blessings and peace be upon you.

Thank you so much, it is an absolute privilege to be a small part of that journey.

I don't think we do give much attention to the idea of balance ... I think people see it as a by-product, or something you achieve when you start 'doing it all' or 'doing well' but it's the other way round ... You build these personal foundations so that you can feel more balanced when moving through life. As always thank you so much for your support 🙏
