Beautiful essay. My word of the year, which funny enough I just shared, too (it's that time of year!) is attentive. Practicing some of the things your write about here will help me live into my word, so thank you.
I love designful. What a wonderful and inspiring word choice!
You are welcome... I love the word attentive ... and that will work as a great channel for all the practices mentioned here.
I loved Designful too... it really helped me feel strong and free to explore and build a life that suited me. Still can't settle on my word for next year - I am sure it will come to me!!!
Love love love all of this! Sounds like we are on similar journeys finding our way back to ourselves - what a joyful journey! Glad you’ve had a fab year of putting yourself first. It takes more strength than anyone knows! Love being inspired by others who walk the same path! My words for 2024 are creativity and connection ✨✨✨
Thank you so much. It was the perfect Slow Sunday Letter to finish the year! I love your words for the year ! I'm looking forward to exploring and growing more together next year.
I've been journaling a lot with a fellow friend of mine and we have run out of prompts to write together. Your journal prompt idea is definitely a fun and exciting idea on the future prompts list!
"Make a list of 10 things you’re proud of that you’ve accomplished over the last year"
Looking forward to reflecting, as well as setting a positive attitude for the upcoming year :)
I can feel the calm in your writing and I love the way you explain each point!
I have gone through many ups and downs this year (as anyone does) but right now, I can confidently say that I finally feel like I'm right where I belong for this very moment. I have a lot of things I still want to improve about my writing, work, myself and my thoughts, but for the first time in what feels like forever, I am proud and happy about this very point I am in my life, how I am navigating it and how things are going in every aspect of it.^^
I wish you a wonderful Christmas time and a happy New Year and look forward to reading your posts again in 2024!
Awww thank you so much ... That's so kind of you to say and share 🙌 I'm so glad you are finishing this year in a good place and we have so much to look forward to next year. I'm excited to be a small part of everyone's journey as we learn and share with eachother here on Substack ✨🙏
